Using the dashboard

Learn how to read deploy reports, inspect traffic and speed evidence, and continue into deeper investigation.

The site dashboard is where you confirm inputs and inspect evidence for the next deploy report.

What you see first

When you open a site, Callra shows:

  • top-level stats such as pageviews, visitors, sessions, bounce rate, average visit duration, and collected events
  • a traffic trend chart for the selected time range
  • breakdown tables for pages, referrers, countries, devices, browsers, OS, hostnames, routes, UTM values, and custom events
  • a recent events table for the newest pageviews and custom events

Think of this screen as the input layer for deploy review rather than the final product object.

Change the time range

Use the range chips at the top of the dashboard to switch between common windows such as the last 24 hours, 7 days, or 30 days.

If you need a custom date window, use the From and To fields and apply the range.

Filter the data

Callra supports drill-down filtering across the whole dashboard.

Common filters include:

  • path
  • route
  • hostname
  • referrer domain
  • exact referrer URL
  • country
  • device
  • browser
  • OS
  • event name
  • event property key and value
  • UTM source, medium, campaign, term, and content
  • environment

When you click a row in a breakdown table, Callra narrows the rest of the dashboard to match that slice of traffic.

This is especially useful when a deploy report says the regression is concentrated on one page, browser, country, or device type.

Work with environments

If you send an environment value such as production, staging, or preview, you can switch the dashboard between them without mixing internal traffic into production reports.

Environment filtering is especially useful when the same codebase runs in multiple deploy targets.

Use event drill-downs

Custom events become much more useful once you drill into their properties.

A common workflow is:

  1. Click an event name such as Signup.
  2. Open the property keys breakdown.
  3. Click a property such as plan.
  4. Compare exact values such as free, pro, or enterprise.

This makes it easier to validate whether a deploy likely affected signup or checkout behavior.

Review recent events

The Recent events section shows the newest pageviews and custom events in the active dashboard scope.

This is the best place to confirm that:

  • a new event name is arriving
  • a page path looks correct
  • referrer information is present
  • the environment value is correct
  • event properties are being attached as expected

Export a breakdown

Breakdown tables support CSV export. Export is useful when you want to hand a suspicious traffic slice to a teammate or continue analysis outside Callra.

Use the public dashboard carefully

If public sharing is enabled for a site, Callra creates a read-only share link with aggregate metrics only.

Use it for:

  • stakeholder updates
  • public traffic dashboards
  • lightweight reporting without giving dashboard access

Do not use it when someone needs site settings, recent events, or private drill-down access.

Speed Insights

Each site also has a Speed Insights tab.

It uses the same installed script and shows:

  • real page-load metrics
  • percentile views such as P75 or P95
  • device filters
  • route and country breakdowns

Use Web Analytics to understand traffic inputs, and Speed Insights to understand whether a deploy may have hurt page-load quality.

What to open next

  • Open Releases when you want the actual deploy report.
  • Open Impact Analysis when you need broader business context.
  • Open Reports and incidents when the same issue needs follow-up or delivery history.
